"Beginning with regular season games on October 1st, the way hockey games are resulted will change for PRO•LINE. Here is the detail:

The score at the end of regulation will be the PRO•LINE score. Games tied at the end of regulation will now be considered a PRO•LINE tie on the Money Line.

This change affects all wager formats on PRO•LINE. Thus, the score at the end of regulation is also the score that will be applied to both the Spread and Total formats. As a result of this change, overtime will no longer play a part in the final PRO•LINE result. This tie rule will apply to all hockey leagues, just as the previous rule applied.

Making this change will allow us to increase the odds offered for the V & H options we offer on hockey. However, our tie odds will come down some as a result of the increased likelihood of them occurring. This change will also allow our hockey offering on PRO•LINE to be consistent from the regular season through to the playoffs, as all games will be resulted based on the score at the end of regulation.
"

Love it!! Couldn't agree with this more, I like to see the increase in value for V and H

The increase in H and V isnt worth ties going down.  This is a terrible idea and another "win" for the house. Terrible decision if you ask me,  why are we NOT including a period of hockey where goals happen? I cannot believe this is happening

They are not making the change to benefit us, that's for sure.

Yeah guys, lets make it EASIER for people to win lots of money? Come on. These people aren't going to do things to give us the benefit of winning more money. It's gambling, if it was easy there wouldn't be an ALC.

it has nothing to do with it being easy or not, there taking a period of hockey away from people who could win in OT and downing ties almost $2.50-$3..   It is just a move that helps ALC and will force a lot more ties.  I think its a terrible idea myself but I never bet on hockey anyways, so it doesnt effect me much

Does anyone know if "props" end in regulation too?
Its not specified, but if Totals, Spreads and Outcome all end with regulation, what about goals scored in overtime etc?
The rules have not been changed on the site but is this an oversite?
HOCKEY PROPSPOINTS PLAYER VS PLAYER: Of the two players paired, which will score the most points? Goals = 2 points, Assists = 1 point, shootout goals will not be counted. (3 outcomes)

Props scoring remains exactly the same as it has been, jewa111.  The points you see scored for players on the box score, will the be the points applied to the PRO·LINE player props.

Yes, since OT goals/assists would appear in the final box score for player stats.

After looking at the lines...yes, this is a joke. To increase the odds about .10 cents for V or H, and decrease the tie by $3 is ridiculous. The ALC is by far the best lottery corporation in the country, and I have stated this before. However, moves like this will continue to happen, eventually you'll see "pushes" on spreads, the odds will continue to come down across the board, little rule changes here and there (which are all made to make it harder to win). I am not against the new tie rule, only if the ALC actually stands behind what they are telling us and raise the odds for Regulation V and H wins. By the looks of today's lines, this is a hose job for the ages. Anyways, Go Leafs Go.

the lines for hockey havent improved at all....they may have went up 10 cents or so while the ties have gone down almost $3....is alc trying to turn customers away and get less people to play proline cuz if they are they are doing a hell of a job...

ya that sucks, thats why i changed to somewhere els its those kinda rules and changes that push me away from this site. to be honest i still trough a bet once in a while but everyday i make bets somewhere els ,parlays and single bets and its a big advantage when a win is considered a win it will take something really good for coming back fulltime on this site. that my opinion!

by the looks of things this was done to increase stadium bets (online proline) activity??? because there are way betters odds in that now,,,

they are robbing ppl who buy store-bought tickets by slashing the tie odds in half
but also increasing odds, what was standard last year I forget, 1.75/2.25?, looks like that jumped a quarter this year cause the tor/mtl games is 2.00/2.50

anyway they may pay out more on small tickets but just eliminated a lot of the high pay-out tickets that were created through $6+ ties

I like the way Ontario (OLG) does it, the odds are a little lower for V/H wins but tie odds stay in the $6 range.  If you pick the tie you win for a shootout but if you pick H or V and they win in regulation or a shootout you still get the win. After playing in both provinces for years, I do like ALC but I think OLG has better payout options especially when they have the pools games for all sports!!!

Just a thought!!

Ive played both too @nbsens818.... I agree OLG has a really good set up, and the football pools are over $250,000 back when I did it, could be more now Im not sure, but they allow you to take H+ or V+ also and other good things.....   I find ALC is behind on alot of things, they have improved a lot but there also behind in alot

I was a proline player for years this new tie thing finally put me out of the game.  Yesterday was the first time in I bet 10 years that I didn't have a proline ticket opening night of NHL hockey.  I think it is a terrible rule and sign up online at another site.

Great JOB ALC

I just assumed that player props would also end in regulation since moneyline, spreads, and totals now all end in regulation.  Not the case. They still include ot for player props.  Proline is not even in the same stadium as their competition.  I'm not trying to be offensive or disrespectful I'm just very upset that proline keeps on nickel and diming us even though they are all ready way behind the competition in terms of payout odds.  If you don't believe me check the odds of the other sportsbooks.  You will be very surprised!

Way to go ALC this is by far the worst move yet, most teams play it safe in last 10 mins of 3 period to get a point ot has the chance for some goals, you'll be losing sales, atleast i hope So!
